J&C Enterprises is a fourth generation family-owned timber harvesting company and Class A California Licensed Timber Operator based in beautiful Indian Valley of Plumas County, California. 

Owned and operated by Jared (J) and Cindy (C) Pew, J&C Enterprises has specialized in forest health and thinning projects since its inception as Pew Forest Products in 1979. Our family implemented some of the first stewardship contracts on the Plumas National Forest in the late 90s as part of the Quincy Library Group. This stewardship focused work earned Jared's dad Randy multiple awards in 2000, including the Sierra Cascade Logger of the Year, West Coast Logger of the Year, and Regional Logger of the Year.

Jared has since taken over the family business, and we continue to prioritize sustaining forest health, communities, and ecological values together amidst an era of high wildfire risk. We always work to ensure our projects result in as low of an impact to the forest as possible through utilization of state-of-the-art equipment and other best practices.

We also offer firewood for sale to the local community and beyond. Our firewood is derived from biomass or small logs removed from fuels reduction or forest health projects that would otherwise go to waste or left to burn in the woods.
